    I hope this is true...

The only election Obama was any good at was his own
A lot of that has to do with how Obama revolutionized campaigning. Unfortunately, with the rise of social media, what made Obama so successful on the campaign trail has quickly become outdated.

The democrats right now don't have an agenda to run on. The stock market is kicking ass, unemployment is at a 2 decade low, the labor participation rate has stabilized, and Trump is about to fully legalize weed. Any agenda that is contrary to the current agenda is a losing agenda.

The only thing the democrats can run on is: "Trump is a misogynist, a racist, rude, and hates immigrants". This agenda will win the vocal sub-segments of their party, but it isn't the winning formula for the working man and woman that still hold the majority in this country. Trump was voted in because he wasn't like any politician before him. Now with the economy in full swing, you really think the public is going to revert back to the common politician? The economy is and will always be the biggest driver in a campaign race, and if the economy is humming, the incumbent scores a massive advantage.

The only thing that could derail a Trump 2020 bid is a George W. recession, or if Democrats are willing to put up a wild card of their own, which I don't see them doing.

I can't wait to see who the dems run. Somehow it's going to be worse than I can imagine.

It's like they are addicted to losing. Do they not realize that they don't have to pander to the super leftist SJW crowd? Those people are voting for you anyway.

At this point it would have to be a Mark Cuban like candidate that will draw enough enthusiasm for Democrats to win. The independents will overwhelmingly pick Trump if it becomes an agenda driven race, with the current economic situation we have now. Democrats cannot win on agenda right now.

Obama had personal popularity despite the haters and he had a lot of folks pulling for him due to our racist history as a slave nation. It never translated to the party which lost every time. Then Hillary proved it was about Obama not policy when she lost running for the third term

I don't know many who don't think that Obama wouldn't have got that third term if he was running. The anti Trump rhetoric would have been more effective. With Hillary it was, yeah he's a heel but he's not Hillary

Voting against someone (see 2016) often tims motivates more than voting for someone.
Black voter turnout was the opposite of that though and might have been the difference. They came out for Obama and enough stayed home for Hillary

There was a reason boobs was calling Trump a racist every day but it didn't work in regards to scaring voters to the poll

The economy is doing well for rich people just like it has since the ‘08 recession.

Wage growth is flat, full-time employment is being substituted for part-time work, the tax cuts went almost entirely to the 1% and corporations which used them for stock buybacks, our health care system is still awful.

The democrats running on medicare for all, strengthening unions, $15 minimum wage, jobs guarantee, and tax hikes on the wealthy will be successful. The centrist dems will wipeout.

What do you think rental owners will do if the minimum wage gets raised to $15/hr? Ax Portland after Oregon passed their latest increase.

How do you guarantee jobs? Is that going to be like working for welfare?

So hiking tax on the wealthy will obviously hurt private sector jobs. Are you wanting private sector jobs to replaced by the public sector?

Dems have ran for the unions for 4 decades. How does supporting them more improve their prospects, since unions already support them?

There is so much bullshit in this poast where to start. One of the biggest swings in the last labor report was the massive swing from part-time jobs to full-time jobs. Wages have been growing the most in the last 10 years, etc.

God I hope they run on that crap...it will be a massacre.

    I'll simplify everything.

Democrats = all that is bad in politics including being the home for the socialist/communist parties and pretty much all of the violent protesters whom they are paying to protest and riot. They have no plan except resist!

Republicans = Have a working thriving economy, are the home of numerous RINO's that need to be removed but overall have advanced a plan and agenda that is working and people feel it in their pocket books and wallets.

Dems= Losers in this one rather easily.
