Have you guys seen this show? You can get it on YouTube and it's fucking amazing.
It's about the Grasberg and Ertsberg gold and copper mines near Papua New Guinea. It's the largest gold mine and second largest copper mine in the world.
The scale and complexity of these mines is unbelievable and the people that make projects like this happen are amazing. The dude that bulldozed the access road to the Grasberg mine is one badass sob.
The documentary is probably 20 or more years old, but definitely worth watching.
