The article says that this was Australia's worst shooting in 2 decades. 6 dead for a US mass shooting wouldn't even crack the top 100.

The funny part is all the people from Australia that would make fun of America's lack of gun ban every time there was a mass shooting here that are now saying "Can you guys please keep the jokes and politics out of this tragedy? Have some respect."

Australia has 24 million people, the US has 345 million. Not to mention the shitload of other differences.

I wonder if other countries dope everyone with antidepressants as much as we do here in the states? Pretty much every school shooter was on them. Under reported IMHO. But hey they don't fidget as much in their seats. Odd they haven't added mass murder to the side effects list.

kids who are depressed are generally depressed because they are ugly or shitty at sports.

if everyone just got laid once in awhile things would be better.

would solve the whole terrorism thing too

But I do like this comparison, because it isn't about making a comparison at all. It's about exposing people who don't want to use consistent logic... i.e. people who use every shooting in America as a reason why we should adopt a gun ban like Australia.

So if it happens in Australia, then yeah we get to flip the tables. We never wanted the tables in the first place, but the libs brought them anyway so now we have to flip them.

Compare gun deaths per 100,000 people between here and every other non-shithole country. We lose easily.

So which ones shall we amend? 1st? 4th? 5th? 10th? The first ten were not meant to be amended.

The 2nd was meant to amend the government!

That's a long winded way to say that it's about sticking it to liberals. It would be more of a table flip if this guy shot up an elementary school or a Keith Urban concert using non-semi firearms. Mass shootings is one of the few gun related stats that I think make sense to benchmark against other 1st worlds. If this is Australia's worst mass shooting in 2 decades then it speaks volumes about how fucked the current US situation is.

Take Chicago gang shootings out and we probably look pretty good.
I've heard that argument before. I don't really know the numbers well enough and I'm too lazy to research right now (plus my comp is fucked). It's probably a lot better, but a) Chicago, Detroit etc. are still part of the US and b) some countries are still probably far ahead of us minus violent cities.
