The firing of Rich Rodriguez has shattered confidence in the Wildcat community. The national stories surrounding the athletics department are calling into question the very fabric of the University and its mission. The University of Arizona needs to act swiftly to restore confidence in Arizona athletics both on and off the field. The next head football coach hiring will be crucial in molding the UofA's public image for years to come.
University officials need to make it abundantly clear that a place with God only knows how many potholes isn't going to pay its next coach 5 million dollars a year to get caught bribing recruits*. It's going to hire someone that is going to bring ethics and dignity back to Wildcat football. Someone that is a great person first and a football coach second. Someone that commands national respect and attention. I trust you will make the correct decision.
