Got me curious so I checked Redfin for homes under 50K in Detroit city limits. Got 350 hits

Did the same search in Seattle and got ZERO results.

I think the larger point originally was that if there was some REAL hope for Detroit on the horizon some fund would buy all 350 of those and more because the return would be huge if there were a revival.

20 - 30 years ago you could buy in the CD in Seattle for under 50K. It was a good value obviously.

The IE was bought up and sold again after the 08 crash.

I'm not sure what would bring value back to Detroit but follow the money and you may or may not find out.

What I've read is that Detroit is now officially "undervalued," as real estate there is so much less than surrounding areas and the nation as a whole. And there's kind of a hipster revival thing going on where young people are moving in, taking advantage of one of the few urban areas in the country with affordable housing stock.

The Quicken Loans guy seems to be involved as well.

I've only ever changed planes there.
As of last year 1 in 5 homes in Detroit is vacant. As with all places there are some nice areas and not so nice areas, but in Detroit the latter far outweighs the former. And I'm sure it can be considered "undervalued", but that is only because it's at rock bottom.

And one of the main reasons why is because it's been run by a bunch of folks like Conyer's wife...
What about all the places run by Dems that are doing great? Or is there something I'm missing?

Like where, for instance? I don't recall ever seeing more homeless people than I have in democrat run cities in perma blue states. Some of these shitholes look as bad as the train station in Bucharest. Their platform of being the party that cares about the poor is a complete sham, just like their platform of being the party that cares about women is.

Missing? What the fuck are you rambling about now? You are the idiot claiming a city full of vacant houses is a real estate goldmine in a city you admit to never seeing anything beyond the airport.

Detroit is the blueprint for the rest of America under dotardcrat leadership. Nothing but fail.

    #SocialismInAction

Silicon Valley is run by Dems and it is thriving.

People don't want to live in Detroit because it's cold and its leading employers suck. Neither party can fix that.

    Yes they are.

Fact is, this Was a thread about yet another PervDem exerting sexual power over a female employee and having taxpayers pay for his crimes while Democrats cover up these serial crimes.

In your desperation to divert attention, you turned it into Detroit Real Estate Hot Talk inferring how stoopid institutional investors are, collectively as a group, and how you’ve got em all duped.

Missing? What the fuck are you rambling about now? You are the idiot claiming a city full of vacant houses is a real estate goldmine in a city you admit to never seeing anything beyond the airport.
Christ. Here's the fucking pea patch if you want to play in it.

And shockingly, most US major cities that are considered desirable places to live are run by Dems, or are run by Dems in states run by Dems, or both.

Tells me that perhaps at a local level, the Dems might have their shit together.

Yet still Trump winners win nationally.

The “national” vote? Trump lost the popular vote. The voters in these highly educated and successful cities didn’t vote for Trump. He needed the electoral college (and the votes from the poor, failing, unskilled and uneducated) to win.

In Trumpland “winning” means abject failure.

Trump could have won the popular vote if that was the objective,

    Shitshows and excuses are fun!
