    Disagree.

Shush, don't get in way of Freemie's call for theocracy.

"I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”

True. And I'm being a hypocrite because as someone descended from Englishmen, Swedes and Northern Germans, I think we owe a great debt to Luther and Gutenberg. These were great men who believed in what you say above. But I'm an old soul and I like my scripture to sound old timey. And the KJV is the most important book in the history of the Engrish language. Collected works of Shakespeare being 2nd.

Nah, KJV is easily the most poetic and memorable English translation. It's just too bad it's the least reliable. But as you noted, there is no more important work in our? la langue than the Authorized Version.

My personal theory is that the Bard of Avon did not work on the translation of the AV but came in at the end to edit the translation into the most beautiful prose King James' money could buy.

And @Sledog asked the Lord, Master the scribes are wondering if you support a tax hike.

Jesus replied, let me see a coin. Whose pic is on it?

@Sledog replied, Fucking Obama that's who

To which Jesus said, then give that Kenyan what is his and render unto the Lord what is his. Make you a deal, go grab a fish and I'll give you what you need to pay

Solid Lord! said a thankful @Sledog

    I'll chin that.
