Obvious final two are Nike and Adidas.

While it mentions that Jenny has listened to vocal contingent of doogs who want UW to break from Nike because of Oregon, it also states UW has liked the relationship with the brand and examined Miami closely from a few years ago.

Sounds like Nike pays around 2 mil per year, Adidas 8.

Miami went went with Adidas a few years ago for the 8 only to turn back to Nike.

So the 6 extra mil for some reason is not enough to convince the known programs to leave the dominant brand in college football.

It’s back to black jerseys, chrome helmets and nothin but the block dubya baby!

Hiring former Nike execs as your 'third party negotiators' seems like a bad strategy

You take the deal that pays the most. Football holds its place in academis athletics because it pays for shit. Hold your place.

giving a shit about the Oregon relationship is fs. $ is $. Axe Derek if he would turn down a donation from a Duck.

doogs are doogy what are you going to do with them? what's the play there? If Washington abandons Nike it's going to hurt Nike and thereby hurt Oregon? seriously, there are some stupid fucking people out there. I'd support the Canes going with Under Armour if it meant more $$, and that fucking company only seems capable of designing stupid and ugly shit.

Nike and Adidas actually know what they're doing. I'll take Nike over Adi (German familiar for Adolph btw) all else being equal because WWII. Now that's a reason.

I generally like Nike a lot more than Adidas in everything but in this case:

    1. UW is reportedly getting a minimum of 6 million more a year going with Adidas and is in a considerable position of bargaining power (as indicated by Adidas rolling out the red carpet in Portland, only having 12 teams and admitting to needing to expand to the west coast, etc)

    2. Nike’s last uniform with UW has received mixed reviews at best.

    3. Adidas has generally done a good job with Miami and UCLA

That being said, as others here pointed out last month, Nike probably doesn’t come out with a new UW basketball uniform just for the NIT if the relationship isn’t going to continue going forward. UW seems happy with Nike overall.

Agree with those saying to take whoever pays most. I think it would be great if it were Adidas, not so much because of the Nike-Ducks thing, but because Adidas seems to have more appeal to recruits these days. That isn’t a reason to pick Adidas, because that shit can change fast, but at the margin it is a small side benefit.
