    Don't kid yourself, dems spent record amounts trying to win this, and they expected to. This was supposed to be a referendum on Trump.

    It really is amazing. Instead of moving away from all the shit that has turned the average American against them they are doubling down harder than ever.
    Among other things, they see themselves as above "the average American". That party starting breaking hard left decades ago, into a form of progressive elitism that has turned off a large part of their former base.
