The bullshit excuse of meds and booze

Ok, so the situation that Sark and USC are playing is that Sark mixed meds with booze and that's why he acted like a fucking ass at Salute to Troy. Of course, by making this claim, Sark is essentially saying he had a reasonable amount of alcohol in his body at the time (otherwise he would have a drinking problem, right?), but it was the combination of booze and his meds that made him fucked up.

Not his fault, right?

Well, you can really only make that argument the first time you mix booze and meds. After the first time, you know they don't mix. If you know you get shitfaced, then you don't drink, especially before interacting with boosters, donors, and giving a speech in front of the USC fanbase. If you do that, and you know you're gonna be fucked up, that's just irresponsible.

And if he's taking his meds for any ongoing issues, he probably takes his meds every day, meaning that any time he drinks this same amount of alcohol, he gets like this. So really, if a reasonable amount of alcohol gets him like this, and he has to take his meds every day, he needs to quit drinking. And if he's wanting to keep his meds private, that's fine, but it's probably nothing like antihistamines or other over-the-counter meds but something long-term. And if it were a temporary issue with the meds, he could've mentioned that this was a short-term prescription that'll soon be over in the press conference. It's probably a prescription he's been taking for a long time now and should know, based on his history of drinking, that they don't mix.

Another thing is, that if he is taking meds, and gets this way when he drinks, why did he initiate the policy of allowing alcohol in the coach's locker rooms, giving him more access to drink and act like this? Or the fact that he drinks at every home and away game? How does he explain the receipt with 45 shots of Patron? If he knows meds and booze don't mix, why the fuck is he ordering 45 shots? The whole "meds" answer today doesn't even begin to answer the questions of his history of alcoholism and only raises more red flags.

And that's why the "meds" excuse is bullshit.
